Two brothers, aged between 8 and 10, have tragically drowned in a dam at Grupe, a farming community in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
According to reports, the boys left their home after school on Thursday to play with friends but did not return. Concerned relatives began searching for them and were informed by other children that the duo had been seen swimming at the dam.
During the search, one body was recovered from the dam, while efforts continue to locate the second child.
The grieving family has indicated plans to consult the gods of Grupe land to determine whether the boys indeed drowned, as they come to terms with the heartbreaking incident.
