Alleged NDC Supporters Disrupt Press Conference in Ashanti Region

A press conference held by the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin, was disrupted by individuals believed to be members of the party’s internal task force.

The incident occurred in the Ashanti Region, where the disgruntled supporters expressed frustration with the party’s leadership over their response to allegations of individuals impersonating military personnel in 32 constituencies.

The NDC had earlier raised concerns about the deployment of military officers to 34 constituencies in the region, reportedly using disguised vehicles. The party also alleged that ballot boxes had been imported into some constituencies as part of a plan to rig the elections.

During the press conference, Yamin warned against using the military to instigate unrest but faced backlash from some supporters dissatisfied with the party’s handling of the situation.

The protest escalated as the supporters disrupted proceedings, toppling microphones and ordering journalists to leave the venue.
