Under the guidance of Miss Belinda Osei-Mensah, final-year students from the University of Education, Winneba’s School of Communication and Media Studies observed International Coastal Clean-up Day by conducting a cleanup operation at Sir Charles Beach in Winneba.

Their objective was to clear plastic waste and promote a sustainable environment in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. The cleaning effort, which received support from Zoomlion Ghana, occurred between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Miss Osei-Mensah expressed her contentment with the event and expressed hope for future community-benefiting projects of a similar nature.
