Police arrest 25 suspected drug dealers in Techiman

The Techiman District Police Command in the Bono East Region has arrested 25 individuals suspected of drug peddling and usage during a targeted swoop operation within the Techiman Municipality.

The operation focused on known criminal hideouts as part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on organised crime and illicit drug activities in the area. Police say the exercise forms part of a sustained enforcement strategy and will not be a one-off operation.

According to the Bono East Regional Police Command, similar operations will continue to rid the municipality of drug-related crime and improve public safety.

ASP Nana Appiah Danquah, Public Relations Officer of the Bono East Regional Police Command, confirmed the arrests and reiterated the Police Service’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
