
The Ghana Police Service has arrested 56 suspects during a series of intelligence-led operations across the Western North Region as part of its Christmas Special Operations.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 23, police said the week-long exercise was aimed at enhancing security and maintaining law and order during the festive season.
The operations targeted several towns and communities identified as crime-prone areas, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsos, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina, and Bidiem.
According to the police, the suspects were picked up for various alleged offences and are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety during the Christmas period and urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing timely and credible information to help combat crime.
