Office of the Special Prosecutor Pursues Six Individuals for Suspected Vote Buying 

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced a pursuit for six individuals suspected of engaging in corruption and corruption-related activities during the parliamentary elections orchestrated by the ruling New Patriotic Party.

During the weekend’s parliamentary elections in orphan constituencies, concerns emerged regarding the prevalence of vote buying. Delegates were seen displaying money they had allegedly received from candidates, which was captured on camera.

In response to these incidents, the OSP has initiated investigations into the matter, aiming to delve into the reported occurrences of alleged vote buying and other election-related improprieties.
