Mawuena Adzo Trebah, Former GIPC CEO and Sister of Komla Dumor, Passes Away

It has been reported that Mrs. Mawuena Adzo Trebah, the elder sister of the late Komla Dumor, has sadly passed away. Details surrounding her death are not yet disclosed.

Mrs. Trebah was a trailblazer in her career, becoming the first female to hold the substantive position of Chief Executive Officer at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) from April 2013 to January 2017.

Her illustrious career included various senior executive roles, including being the first female underground exploration geologist at Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd.

She later held pivotal positions at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd., leading Corporate Communications, and at Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), where she served as head of Corporate Service.

Aside from her corporate achievements, Mrs. Trebah was also deeply involved in entrepreneurship, founding and directing Inspire Africa as its Chief Business Strategist.

Mrs. Trebah is survived by her husband, Flt LT Divine Trebah, their daughter, Katherine Joy, and leaves behind a legacy of trailblazing leadership and dedication to excellence.
