
A fire incident at the Ashaiman Valco Flat on Saturday, November 29, 2025, left parts of the residential facility severely damaged. The blaze destroyed three rooms and partially affected two others, according to a statement from the Tema Regional Public Relations Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The Ashaiman Fire Station responded to the emergency at 9:01 a.m., led by ADO I Opare Philip. Due to the intensity of the fire, backup support was requested from the Tema Motorway and Metro Fire Stations to help contain the flames.
The fire occurred in a 14-room, one-storey building located at number 51 Nii Amui Street. By 10:00 a.m., firefighters had successfully extinguished the blaze, managing to salvage 11 rooms and five stores from further destruction.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The GNFS has launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
