A court has granted self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties, one of whom must provide verifiable security in the form of a landed property or a vehicle. The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, for further hearing.
The ruling was welcomed by the accused’s legal team. Speaking to the media after the decision, Ebo Noah’s lawyer, Emmanuel Sarfo, described the court’s action as a fair and just exercise of judicial discretion.
He noted that the court acted in line with the law by admitting his client to bail under reasonable conditions, adding that the defence was satisfied with the outcome.
Under the bail conditions, Ebo Noah is required to produce two sureties to guarantee his appearance in court, with one surety backed by tangible property. The court cautioned that failure to meet or comply with the conditions could lead to the revocation of the bail.
The matter is scheduled to return to court on March 18, 2026, to allow both the prosecution and the defence adequate time to prepare for the next phase of the proceedings.
Ebo Noah, born Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team. His arrest followed widespread public concern after he predicted a world-ending flood on December 25, 2025, a prophecy that caused public panic.
The self-proclaimed prophet had earlier constructed what he described as an “ark” at his premises, claiming it would save humanity from the impending disaster. After the predicted event failed to occur, he reportedly revised his prophecy, stating that his prayers had postponed the destruction.
