Two people have died and several others sustained injuries following a fatal road accident at Hosita in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
The crash occurred on Monday, December 15, 2025, involving a black Toyota Land Cruiser (CR 2318-25) and a green Hyundai Urvan minibus (GE 1005 Y).
According to eyewitness accounts, the Land Cruiser, travelling from Ho towards Adaklu, attempted to overtake another vehicle but collided head-on with the Hyundai Urvan bus, which was transporting passengers from Adidome to Ho.
Victims were rushed to the Ho Teaching Hospital, largely with the help of private individuals who arrived at the scene before emergency responders.
Personnel from the National Ambulance Service later attended the scene but cited delays due to an earlier emergency call. An ambulance officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, explained that the Ho Municipality currently relies on only one ambulance vehicle, which serves multiple communities.
Officers from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service also responded, supported rescue efforts, and have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of the accident.
