Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has expressed his sincere apologies to his fans for not being able to fulfill his performance commitment in Detroit, United States, as part of his ongoing Jamz World Tour. He explained that he missed the event due to an emergency landing on an island in Portugal the day before. Despite the unfortunate situation, he maintained a calm attitude, acknowledging that such incidents can occur. However, he expressed frustration with the airline’s poor communication and lack of updates during the ordeal. Sarkodie and fellow passengers waited at the airport for approximately six hours. He noted that this issue is not uncommon with airlines operating in Africa, which sometimes send older and less safe flights, even in business class, putting passengers at risk. He emphasized that they had a close call when they almost landed in the ocean but thankfully arrived safely on the island. Sarkodie mentioned that they received no compensation for the inconvenience, and their luggage was still on the island.
