The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has committed to leveraging its electoral victory in the December 7 general elections to drive national progress and prosperity.
Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday, December 8, at the party’s headquarters, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey assured Ghanaians that the party would use its parliamentary majority responsibly.
“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana,” he stated.
Kwetey also urged the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to expedite the declaration of results. He expressed confidence in the outcome, describing the NDC’s victory as decisive and undeniable.
“The process, as far as the presidential result is concerned, must not be unduly delayed. We know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag,” he remarked.
The NDC’s leadership has emphasized its focus on addressing the nation’s challenges and ensuring progress for all citizens under its new mandate.
