President John Dramani Mahama has announced that his administration has successfully fulfilled all promises outlined in its 120-day social contract, setting the tone for a transformative era in Ghana’s governance.
In a national address delivered on Wednesday night, President Mahama declared that the government had met key targets including the formation of a lean cabinet, enforcement of a code of conduct for public officials, tax reforms, environmental protection measures, and economic revitalization initiatives.
“We laid out a social contract with you, the people of Ghana, with specific promises for this critical initial period. Tonight, I’m pleased to report that we have fulfilled these promises,” he stated.
He emphasized that the actions taken are not just symbolic milestones, but the beginning of a new governance culture grounded in transparency, urgency, and accountability.
The President called on Ghanaians from all walks of life to unite behind a common vision for a more prosperous nation, stressing that the journey toward national transformation requires collective effort.
“My word is my bond. While a strong foundation has been laid, much remains to be done. Let us work together, united by a shared vision to build the Ghana we want,” Mahama urged.
