Interplast Donates GH¢50,000 to Support Citi FM/Citi TV’s #Relief4LowerVolta Campaign

Interplast, a prominent plastic manufacturing company, has stepped forward to make a substantial contribution to Citi FM/Citi TV’s relief campaign aimed at aiding victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage.

 

During an appearance on the Citi Breakfast Show, Interplast announced a significant donation of GH¢50,000, underscoring its dedication to assisting those impacted by the spillage in the Volta Region, as well as parts of the Eastern and Greater Accra regions.

 

In addition to the GH¢50,000 contribution from the company’s management, Interplast’s devoted employees extended their support by donating essential items valued at GH¢4,000. These items included sachet water, tissue, and toilet paper, along with 150 wooden pallets. While seemingly simple, these contributions can have a profound impact on the individuals facing adversity.

Elizabeth Owusu Gyebi, the Public Relations Officer for Interplast, revealed that a considerable number of the company’s staff originate from the affected areas, and the situation deeply affected them. This prompted the company’s decision to take proactive steps to provide assistance.

 

Furthermore, the chairman of the senior staff association of Interplast announced a second round of donations, which includes 500 bags of sachet water, 450 packs of toilet rolls, and 60 packs of hand tissues, mobilized from their welfare funds.
