Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o has stated that he was a better player than ex-Ivory Coast hitman Didier Drogba and former Senegal hero El-Hadji Diouf.
Eto’o believes that he is the best African footballer of all time.
Now 39, Eto’o played for the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan during an illustrious career in Europe.
He won the Champions League and several league titles, along with four African Player of the Year awards.
“Even if my brother Diouf the last time, with an extra glass, got a little lost, there is no debate”, said Eto’o told Goal.com, referencing a video where Diouf says he was better.
“None of them [Diouf and Drogba] can come and say that they were at my level or better.
“And it’s not the fact that I say it, it’s a fact, it’s something that is there.
“I wanted to be number one and I have been throughout my career.”
