Black Sherif Is Coming On Tour With Me, Learn The Twi In His Song – Burna Boy

Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif, who shot to fame with his First Sermon song, has disclosed how he got Grammy-award winner Burna Boy on his Second Sermon song.

In an interview on Hitz FM monitored by GhArticles.com, Black Sherif, also known as Blacko, said Burna Boy reached out to his team in Ghana after he heard the song.

Talking further, he disclosed that Burna Boy wanted to come to Ghana for the remix to take place but he couldn’t due to his schedule yet he sent the verse to Blacko prior to his performance in USA some months back.

Describing the relationship between them, Black Sherif told Andy Dosty that “it happened naturally”.

Per the Second Sermon hitmaker, Burna Boy reaching out to him will go a long way to cement his career far and beyond.

It happened naturally. Burna Boy reached out to us on Whatsapp and we talked on video and he said if he comes to Ghana we will work on the song. He was on tour in NY and recorded it before his performance. He sent it back to us we liked it and processed it, he said.

Sherif said one of Burna Boy’s security men, who is equally a Ghanaian, gave out his number to the Nigerian music star.

His security is a Ghanaian and I think someone knows me in his team. They went to USA and he got my number from the security and we talked.

This is actually big for me and he is a Grammy-award winning artiste and he actually likes the song and that is the right decision, he said.

For those preaching against the song on social media, Black Sherif has asked them to appreciate the feat rather than going against it.

It is art… I like the verse so much and I think maybe it’s because of some verses we took out. But they have to understand me. The second verse is a star verse for my fans and it’s not in the song but I understand them.

People like the verse too. For sure, we will shoot the video. My EP is coming early next year, he added.

Social Media Reacts To Big Brother Mzansi's Nude Scenes

Despite being under the same production, scenes from BBMzani are unedited, including showcasing the nudity of the competitors.

Bathroom scenes dubbed ‘Shower Hour’ and private diaries are all telecasted; this, netizens have likened to a mini porn show.

The latest season has divided fans across the continent, with South Africans and Nigerians, in particular, have been at each other’s throats.

While comparing the differences, South Africans have argued their content is more eye-catching and worth viewing, unlike the Nigerians who hide behind secret rooms to ‘devour’ themselves.

Tackling the argument from the cultural and religious perspective, a majority of viewers have called on the production to censor the nudity part.

Some have described it as outrageous, provocative and a bad representation of Africa as a continent.

However, their demands are yet to be met as the latest scenes captured the contestants, both male and females naked in various parts of the house.

This is expected to go on for the next few weeks until a winner finally emerges.

Akon Sued $4m

Akon Sued $4m
Akon’s former business partner, Devyne Stephens, has filed a lawsuit against the singer.

Devyne Stephens has accused the “Don’t Matter” artiste of stiffing him out of $750,000 from a 2018 settlement agreement and $3 million in royalties, Page Six reports.

Stephens, a music executive who previously worked with Destiny’s Child, Usher, Jay-Z, Toni Braxton, and TLC, claims he and Akon reached a pact four years ago in which he would receive $3.25 million over the span of four years. The singer allegedly failed to pay the final installment of $750,000.

This is the latest development in what has become a contentious relationship between Akon and Stephens, who accused his former business partner of spending “the better part of a decade” finding ways to avoid giving him the money that’s contractually owed to him. “Akon has spent the better part of a decade frustrating Stephens’ attempts to obtain large amounts of money which Akon unambiguously promised in contracts to pay Stephens,” court documents state.

Stephens alleges that Akon believes he shouldn’t be required to pay 20 percent because he’s now working for BMG Records. Stephens countered with the accusation that the singer intentionally breached his contract with Atlantic, and argued that BMG “by any objective metric, is a ‘major’ record label.”

The court claims Akon has taken the stance that he’s currently not on a “major” label, to which Stephens responded, “He is wrong.”

Akon came under fire last year when he told TMZ that the “famous and the rich go through more issues than the poor,” a statement he later stood behind, saying he was speaking from his own personal experience.“

“I’m having more problems successfully dealing with all that comes with success than I had when I was poor,” he said. “I was actually happier when I was poor.”
