Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo delivered a dramatic injury-time winner to hand Bournemouth a crucial Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium, ending the club’s 11-game winless run.

For much of the contest, Semenyo struggled to influence proceedings, drifting in and out of the game. However, deep into stoppage time, the 26-year-old produced a decisive moment, firing home from the edge of the box to secure all three points for the hosts in what is expected to be his final appearance before a reported move to Manchester City.

Tottenham had taken an early lead through Mathys Tel in the fifth minute, but Bournemouth responded strongly, with goals from Evanilson and teenager Eli Junior Kroupi giving the hosts a 2-1 advantage at half-time. Kroupi’s strike took his season tally to seven, making him one of the most prolific teenage scorers across Europe’s top five leagues.

Spurs fought back in the second half and looked the more threatening side after João Palhinha equalised with an acrobatic overhead kick in the 78th minute. Richarlison struck the post, while a penalty initially awarded to Micky van de Ven was overturned after a pitchside review.

Despite Tottenham’s pressure, Semenyo had the final say, sending the home fans into celebration with a late winner that compounded Spurs’ ongoing struggles. The defeat marked their 10th loss in 12 league matches, increasing pressure on head coach Thomas Frank.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola praised Semenyo’s professionalism, confirming the forward would now complete the formalities of his move to Manchester City. The Ghana international received a standing ovation and completed a farewell lap of the stadium after the final whistle.

Tottenham’s woes were further deepened by injuries to Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur, adding to an already lengthy list of absentees. Spurs players were also involved in a tense exchange with travelling supporters at the end of the match, reflecting growing frustration within the club.
