Zabzugu MP Supports 130 Tertiary Students with Financial Aid

A total of 130 tertiary students from the Zabzugu constituency in the Northern Region have received financial assistance from their Member of Parliament, Alhassan Umar Abaako.

The beneficiaries include 60 nursing trainees and 70 students from other tertiary institutions such as teacher training colleges, universities, and polytechnics. The support was provided after reviewing over 300 applications.

In an interview with Citi News, the MP urged the students to take their studies seriously and make the most of the opportunity, emphasizing the importance of giving back to their communities after completing their education.

He further revealed plans to establish an educational fund to support medical students from the constituency, adding that those who did not benefit this time should remain hopeful for future assistance.

“They should not finish their courses and run away from the community. We want them to come back and serve as mentors and role models so that younger ones can also be inspired to become responsible and successful citizens,” he stated.
