In a remarkable display of generosity, Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia has contributed significantly to the upcoming Damba Festival in Damongo. Showcasing his commitment to the local community, he donated food items, including 20 bags of rice, as well as a bull and cash amounting to GHC50,000. The distinguished ceremony took place at the palace of the king and Overlord of Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Bii-kunuto Jewu Soale I.

 

Representing Vice-President Bawumia, the municipal chief executive for West Gonja, Karim Musah Kusubari, presented these valuable contributions to the king during an official gathering in Damongo. The donation was made on behalf of the presidential hopeful for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), further emphasizing the Vice-President’s dedication to supporting local traditions and cultural events.
