Late Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah’s Burial Set for May 18

The late Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, John Ampontuah Kumah, will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. The final funeral rites will follow on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.

John Kumah, 45, passed away earlier this month after a brief illness, leaving behind a wife and six children. Known as Lawyer John Kumah to his constituents, he was highly respected for his integrity and focus on job creation, serving as a beacon of hope in his community.

A one-week observance was held in Ejisu on Thursday, attended by dignitaries such as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and sympathisers who gathered to mourn his passing. Attendees, including constituents, wore red and black attire as a symbol of sorrow and grief, remembering Kumah as a hardworking individual dedicated to public service.
