The Deputy Director for International Relations of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Abenyo says the NDC will not need a running mate if their target of getting one was to counter Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
According to him Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is just a paper Economics who is totally unable to implement or bring to reality what he teaches on paper.
He said the Vice President is just a liability to the nation who is not adding up anything to governance.
“All we see is the Senior Minister, Osafo Maafo performing the duties of the Vice President, rendering him dormant,” he said.
Speaking as a panelist on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ newspaper discussion programme, Fred Agbenyo emphasized that the NDC would not have appointed a running mate at all if Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia was their yardstick to win the upcoming General Elections.
“The focus of the NDC towards the 2020 elections is to offer Ghanaians what they exactly want which is Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and good government policies,” he said.
He added that the country now needs a vibrant and positive manager to manage the resources of the nation.
