The has arrested three suspects in connection with the robbery and fatal shooting of a mobile money vendor at .

The police announced the arrests in a statement shared on Facebook on Friday, March 13, 2026.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, when armed assailants attacked the vendor at Fufulso Junction.

During the robbery, the attackers reportedly opened fire, striking both the mobile money vendor and a passerby.

The vendor died while being transported to the hospital, while the passerby—who had reportedly just been discharged after a five-month hospital admission—sustained critical injuries and remains in serious condition.

The shooting triggered unrest in the community later that night.

Reports indicate that some local youth set fire to several houses in the area following the attack, escalating tensions within the community.
