Ghanaian Dancehall sensation, Shatta Wale, has thrown his weight behind Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum, a local journalist gearing up to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon this December.
Aduonum’s application for the record attempt has gained approval from the Guinness World Record board. Her ambitious goal is to surpass the existing 105-hour record set by Sunil Waghmare of India in 2012, aiming for over 117 hours of continuous singing.
The news of her upcoming attempt has resonated positively among Ghanaians, with Shatta Wale leading the charge among several celebrities showing support for her endeavor.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the “On God” hitmaker expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I wish I will be there to support this lady. You can do it !!! Let’s goooo I don’t know you from anywhere but I want to support and boost your confidence and also let you know you are winning hands down. Cheers 🍻.”
The singing marathon by Aduonum is scheduled to commence on December 24th, culminating on December 27th, at the Aviation Social Center.
This event marks an incredible feat as Aduonum strives to etch her name into the Guinness World Records by showcasing her vocal prowess and determination over this remarkable period.
