Elijah Satekla, the younger brother of renowned Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, has signed a two-year contract with Ghana Premier League club Legon Cities.
The attacking midfielder aims to bolster the team as they strengthen their squad for the second half of the season. His addition is seen as a strategic move by Legon Cities to escape relegation, as they currently sit in 17th place with 14 points from 17 matches.
Satekla, who has chosen football as his career path, was recently spotted at a football event with his famous brother and Arsenal legend Emmanuel Adebayor. This move marks his first significant step into the professional football scene.
Though the club has not made an official announcement, Legon Cities hinted at the signing on social media by sharing a song from Stonebwoy, sparking excitement among fans.
Satekla becomes the fourth player to join Legon Cities in the January transfer window, alongside former Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyamfi and other recruits. The Royals hope these additions will help them climb out of the relegation zone and secure their place in the Ghana Premier League.
Fans eagerly await Satekla’s debut as Legon Cities look to turn their season around.
