Sensational highlife artist, Akwaboah has expressed his disappointment in dancehall musician Shatta Wale.
Akwaboah says he’s disappointed in the ‘Taking Over‘ hitmaker for disrespecting himself and all highlife musicians in Ghana following his controversial nation’s address on the Ghana music industry.

Recall, a few days after Shatta Wale returned from his vacation in the USA, he held a press conference to address some issues which needed to be fixed to move the music industry forward.
In his controversial address, Shatta said that Ghana doesn’t have a specific genre that is why our music is not receiving much recognition in Ghana and the world.
Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Ekwansodwodwo on Okay FM, the Posti Me crooner disagreed with Shatta’s assertion.
According to him, he felt disrespected by the statement from Shatta Wale and not only him but anyone who does highlife music.
When asked if he needs an apology from Shatta Wale over his comments, Akwaboah said it was not necessary for Shatta to do that because he is just ignorant and he spoke his opinion.

Reacting to Abeiku’s assertion that maybe Shatta said that because we don’t see any highlife musician winning an international award.
He said, “It is because we don’t promote highlife musicians like him to get there.”
