No individual can claim ownership of Azonto- Appietus.

Ghanaian legendary music producer, Appiah Dankwah popular known as Appietus has said no individual can claim they own the Azonto genre.
Recently, there have been arguments in the industry with regards to originators of Azonto as much efforts are being made to bring it back. According to the multiple award winning producer, Azonto belongs to all Ghanaians who love music because each and everyone aided in its progress until it got to international platforms.
He was positive about the fact that Azonto music and dance can be made bigger and popular again if musicians in the country join forces to bring it back.
“The world loves Azonto some time back but instead of pushing it and making it a vibrant genre, we left it, but we can also make efforts of bringing it back one more time and I believe it’s going to be successful because we once made it a success”. He said.
