Nana Kwame Bediako Pledges Support for Journalists’ Welfare and Safety Through Ghana Media Fund

Leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to bolstering support for journalists with the proposed Ghana Media Fund (GMF).

During a recent meeting with the leadership of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) at the International Press Centre in Accra, Bediako emphasized that the GMF, a key component of his social intervention initiatives, aims to alleviate the financial strain experienced by journalists and ensure their welfare and safety.

Drawing inspiration from Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Bediako underscored the importance of nurturing a thriving journalism sector in Ghana, in line with Nkrumah’s vision. He stated that the New Force, under his leadership, is committed to advancing Nkrumah’s aspirations for the nation.

While acknowledging that he is not a politician, Bediako emphasized his leadership vision, emphasizing the need to prioritize nation-building over political agendas. He highlighted the necessity of implementing policies geared towards economic transformation, citing his proposed initiatives as crucial for Ghana’s prosperity.

In addition to the GMF, Bediako unveiled plans to establish a technology hub in Ghana, with aspirations for it to rival Silicon Valley in the United States. He emphasized the potential of such a hub to drive economic growth and job creation, particularly among Ghana’s youth population.

Furthermore, Bediako outlined his vision for industrial and regional development, stressing the importance of job creation and infrastructure enhancement. He emphasized the need to decentralize job opportunities and invest in alternative transportation modes, such as railways, to alleviate congestion and pollution in urban areas.
