Ex-CSA boss Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako appointed Executive Chairman of e-Crime Bureau

Ex-Cyber Security Authority (CSA) Director-General, Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, has been appointed Executive Chairman of the e-Crime Bureau following the inauguration of the firm’s third Governing Board.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako is the founder of the e-Crime Bureau, which he established in 2011. He served as the firm’s Principal Consultant until 2017 before entering public service. His return to the organisation comes as part of a transition and growth strategy aimed at expanding the Bureau’s operations both locally and internationally.

He previously served as the first Director-General of Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority, a position he held until March 2025. During his tenure, Ghana recorded major improvements in cybersecurity governance, with the country’s score on the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index increasing from 32.6 per cent in 2017 to 99.27 per cent in 2025.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako also served as the founding Chair of the African Network of Cyber Security Authorities (ANCA), where he worked closely with regional partners, including the Smart Africa Alliance, to develop frameworks to strengthen cybersecurity systems across Africa.

In addition to his new role as Executive Chairman, Dr. Antwi-Boasiako is expected to provide strategic oversight to guide the Bureau’s long-term vision. The firm has also appointed Mr. Emmanuel Agyei as Consulting Chief Executive to oversee the day-to-day implementation of its strategy.

Other members of the newly inaugurated Board include Mr. Daniel Adoteye, Dr. Suzanne Nti, Professor Goski Alabi, Mr. Hicham El Achgar and Mr. Michael Abbiw. Ms. Cecilia Antwi Kyem will serve as Board Secretary.

The Board was officially inaugurated on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the firm’s office in East Legon, Accra, with the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy administered by retired High Court judge, Justice Rebecca Sittie.

The e-Crime Bureau provides cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, investigations and related services to clients in Ghana and across other African countries.
