The Electoral Commission has scheduled December 30, 2025, for the rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election, following a directive from the Tamale High Court.
The court’s ruling, delivered on November 24, 2025, instructed the EC to conduct a fresh election within 30 days. This directive was further reinforced on December 8, when Parliament officially notified the Commission that the Kpandai seat had become vacant.
The rerun will involve only the three original candidates who contested the 2024 parliamentary election in the constituency.
Announcing the decision, Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director in charge of Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation at the EC, encouraged the public and stakeholders to take note of the date. He also reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to delivering a transparent, credible, and orderly electoral process in line with the court’s orders.
