Be Vigilant on Government – Mahama Urges Minority

Former President John Dramani Mahama has advised members of the Minority in Parliament to increase their vigilance and prevent the government from implementing harsh policies.

Mahama accused the government of displaying signs of desperation and attempting to enforce severe measures on the populace.

Speaking to Minority MPs in Ho, Volta Region, Mahama emphasized the importance of their return to Parliament, stating that it provides them with an opportunity to closely monitor a government that is becoming increasingly desperate and is aiming to impose stringent policies on Ghanaians.

He commended the Minority for their performance so far and urged them to continue fulfilling their duty of oversight diligently.

“In light of recent developments, it is evident that the government is pushing for policies that could negatively impact the lives of Ghanaians. Therefore, I urge you, the Minority, to remain vigilant and uphold your responsibility of safeguarding the interests of the people,” Mahama stated.

He expressed confidence that the Minority would continue to meet the expectations of the Ghanaian populace by effectively scrutinizing the government’s actions and policies.
