Activist and Democracy Hub organizer Oliver Barker-Vormawor has dismissed claims that he is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
His response follows remarks by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin during an Appointments Committee session, where he was described as a “notorious member of the NDC.” Barker-Vormawor, appearing before the Committee on January 29 over allegations of bribery involving NDC members during ministerial vetting, clarified his political stance.
Addressing the claims, he stated:
“It is completely untrue. I have never been a member of the NDC. My ideology has always been clear—I have consistently voted for the CPP and will continue to do so.”
Barker-Vormawor also apologized for his earlier Facebook post but firmly denied insinuating that NDC committee members had accepted bribes. His remarks reaffirm his political independence amid ongoing discussions on governance, transparency, and accountability in Ghana.
