Ghanaian rapper Asem has said that he will sue Amerado for using his intellectual property without his permission. The rapper stated that the concept is his own and sees no reason why Amerado should use his intellectual work without seeking permission from him.
Amerado has started a series titled “Yete Nsem” which features all the news retrospect of the week and has received immense support as it was introduced.
According to Asem he expected Amerado to pay him some respect by coming to see him concerning using his intellectual work but he has refused to do the needful. Adding that he initially made a writing to draw his attention to his acts but the Kumasi based rapper seems to be unbothered about the whole issue.
Speaking in a video posted on his social media page, Asem stated that since Amerado is using his intellectual work, he will take a share of 60% of income that is generated from the series.
Asem added that customs and traditions as well as the truth matters and it is a common law and knowledge not to use someone’s work without their permission and the title of the series is even derivative from his name ‘Asem’.
