The Bibiani Circuit Court has remanded a pastor and two others into police custody for two weeks over the alleged attempted murder of a five-month-old baby in Abofrem.

The accused, Richmond Akwasi Frimpong, 36, head pastor of Anointed Grace Prayer Ministry, Beatrice Agyapomaa, 23, and Emmanuel Appiah, 53 — appeared before the court on four charges following their arrest. A fourth suspect, Emmanuel Donkor, is currently on the run.

Prosecutors say the incident occurred on April 9, 2026, when Frimpong allegedly attempted to kill the infant, identified as Anaya Achiaa, aged five months and two weeks.

Frimpong and Agyapomaa have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, while Appiah faces a charge of abetment for allegedly assisting in the act.

The case came to light after eyewitnesses intervened at a refuse dump in Abofrem, where the baby was found alive and rescued. The child was later taken to the Abofrem Clinic for medical treatment.

The accused persons are expected to reappear in court in two weeks, while police continue investigations.
