According to police, the incident occurred at about 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, when armed assailants attacked the vendor at Fufulso Junction.
During the robbery, the attackers reportedly opened fire, striking both the mobile money vendor and a passerby.
The vendor died while being transported to the hospital, while the passerby—who had reportedly just been discharged after a five-month hospital admission—sustained critical injuries and remains in serious condition.
