Management of Nkenkaasu Senior High School has suspended its Senior Housemaster, Akwasi Opoku, following allegations of misconduct involving three female students.
In a statement issued on February 23, 2026, the school indicated that the decision was taken after reviewing his conduct in the matter. According to the statement, his behaviour was deemed unprofessional and said to have brought the institution and the Ghana Education Service into disrepute.
The school directed Mr. Opoku to step aside from his position as Senior Housemaster pending further investigations and consultations. He has also been instructed to hand over his responsibilities to the Assistant Headmaster (Domestic) with immediate effect.
Management stated that further action will be determined upon the conclusion of investigations into the allegations.
