“We are glad to see you back in good health, Madam Vice President” – Alban Bagbin

Speaker of the 9th Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, has warmly welcomed Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang back to Ghana following her medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

In a message shared via his official Facebook page, the Speaker expressed his joy at her recovery, writing, “We are glad to see you back in good health, Madam Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.”

Professor Opoku-Agyemang, who reportedly fell ill on Friday, March 28, 2025, was initially admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre before being referred abroad for further medical care.

She returned to Ghana on May 22, 2025, where she was warmly received by President John Dramani Mahama and other senior government officials.

Her return marks the end of her medical leave, and she is expected to resume her official duties in the coming days.
