The tragic event occurred after a heated Ghana Premier League match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Park, where Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat.

The match saw four red cards issued to players from both teams, leading to rising tensions. After the final whistle, violent clashes erupted between rival supporters, culminating in the fatal attack on Frimpong.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to ensure justice is served.
