Liverpool delivered a commanding performance to secure their place in the Carabao Cup final, dismantling Tottenham at Anfield. The Reds overturned a 1-0 first-leg deficit in style, setting up a showdown with Newcastle at Wembley.

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the 34th minute after Yves Bissouma lost possession in midfield, allowing Mohamed Salah to set up Darwin Nunez, whose missed effort fell to Gakpo for a clinical finish.

Spurs, desperate to end a 17-year trophy drought, struggled to create chances against Liverpool’s dominant side. Their hopes faded further when Salah converted a penalty five minutes into the second half after goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky fouled Nunez.

With this emphatic victory, Liverpool advance to the final, where they will defend their title against Newcastle on Sunday, 16 March.
