President John Dramani Mahama has named Alex Segbefia as the Chief of Staff to the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang. The appointment, announced on January 28, 2025, is part of the government’s strategy to strengthen policy coordination and governance under its “Resetting Ghana” agenda.

In an official statement, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, highlighted the administration’s commitment to fostering capable leadership and efficient governance to build a better Ghana.

Alex Segbefia, a seasoned public servant, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, making him well-positioned to support the Vice President in implementing key policies and initiatives.
