Bernard Mornah has been elected as the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) for the upcoming December general elections. His victory was declared on September 7, 2024, at the UDS Guest House in Accra by officials from the Electoral Commission.
Mornah secured a decisive win with 1,138 votes, while his opponent, David Apasera, received 216 votes. In his victory speech, Mornah called for unity within the party, extending an invitation to Apasera to collaborate and strengthen the PNC’s efforts ahead of the elections.
The congress, initially delayed due to an injunction from Apasera’s camp, proceeded smoothly after the resolution of the dispute. This marks a significant milestone for the PNC as it prepares for the national elections.
