The Electoral Commission (EC) is set to address Parliament on Friday, July 19, 2024, to update the House on the preparations for the upcoming 2024 General Elections.
The briefing will take place in the parliamentary chamber, following a request from members who wish to assess the electoral management body’s readiness for the 2024 polls.
During Thursday’s proceedings, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Andrew Asiamah Amoako, announced, “We will be meeting the Electoral Commission; they are coming at our instance. We have invited them to brief us on their preparations for the 2024 elections.
“If you have any issues related to the EC, come and ask. It’s not going to be a banter; we will respectfully inquire about their progress. So, let’s prepare and come meet them,” he added.
