Eyewitnesses confirmed the incident to Channels Television, and multiple videos on social media platform X depict the large edifice in flames.
The fire, which started early Sunday, has caused substantial damage to the church property, alarming the local community and beyond.
Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene attempting to extinguish the blaze.
Police have cordoned off the area to maintain order.
