29-Year-Old Insurance Agent Killed by Cement Truck on Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway

A 29-year-old insurance agent, Esther Amoah, has tragically lost her life after being struck by a speeding cementon the Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway. The incident occurred last Saturday as she was returning home after delivering a meal to her younger brother, a student at St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School in Apowa.

Eyewitnesses reported that Amoah was attempting to cross the busy highway when the truck, registered AS 630 P, collided with her and ran over her, killing her instantly.

Isaac Conduah, who witnessed the accident, told Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show: “We were standing at the entrance of St. Mary’s Boys SHS. She tried to cross the road but became confused by oncoming vehicles. Unfortunately, the cement truck knocked her down.”

Amoah was still clutching the food flask she had used to deliver her brother’s meal when the tragedy occurred. Her identity was confirmed through family contacts found in her belongings.

The driver of the truck is currently in police custody and is assisting authorities with investigations to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
