A Ghanaian young lady has taken to social media to share her experience she had with an Uber driver.
The young lady only identified on Twitter as Kitana @brakutzz narrated how she narrowly escaped from the grips of a ride-hailing driver.
Apparently, the young lady shared the story which happened to her close friend.
According to her, her friend ordered the Uber from Taifa to Liman, Legon when the driver arrived to take her to her destination.
When she sat in the car, the Uber driver started rolling the windows and locked all the doors of the car. However, the friend managed to open of the doors without the Uber driver noticing while she asked him to roll her side window down a little to gasp some air.
She continued that the turned heading Nima on a high speed when they got to Akpelempe roundabout. Then she opened the door on her side and started screaming for help, but no one was on the streets around the 6pm.
Fortunately, for her she finally saw two guys whom the driver had drove pass in a high speed, so she threw herself out after she failed to drew their attention with her screams.
The guys rushed to help while one of the guys confronted the driver and he lied to him he using the Nima road to Legon and he also lied to the second guy that he was taking her to Nima because that was her destination.
She added that her friend reported the issue to Uber but they replied she was not wearing a nosemask.
She therefore cautioned everyone to be careful out there when they take a commercial transport like Uber.
