In a recent Facebook post, Ghanaian Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has criticized Ghanaians for what he perceives as a lack of accountability and discernment in their voting decisions. He expressed surprise at how Ghanaians continue to vote for leaders despite feeling neglected by them.
Shatta Wale’s post read, “As for Ghana ur problem no be nobody en problem oo but make your problem go viral ego be everybody en problem including the government .. Ade shock how you ppl deh wake up and go vote !!! What at all do they tell you to believe them like that mccheeewwww!!!!”
In his post, Shatta Wale lamented that Ghanaians tend to ignore problems until they become public, at which point everyone, including the government, gets involved. He questioned the rationale behind voting for leaders who, in his opinion, fail to address the needs of the people.
