‘We Will Win 2020 Elections’- Prof. Naana Jane To NDC

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Running Mate of ex-President John Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for Election 2020, has pledged her willingness to help the party to win the upcoming elections in December.

According to her, she will justify the trust and confidence reposed in her by the party’s hierarchy in selecting her as the running mate to the former President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at a retreat of the NDC Campaign Team, she expressed gratitude to the people of Ghana and supporters of the NDC for the overwhelming support shown her.

“I want to thank everyone who has been part of this decision. Actually, this is the first time I’m opening my mouth since Monday in public and for good reason. And really when I say thank you, I’m not using the words as Ghanaians will say by heart; I’m using them advisedly in expressing deep gratitude to everyone who’s been part of this process for the repose of confidence…,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said.

“All of us together, regardless where we are, all of us with our eyes focused on the prize, all of us focused on why we are here in the first place, closing our ranks, we know that in the spirit of NDC, we are capable of working hard and we will work hard. We will not be distracted. We will justify the confidence reposed in us and by God’s grace, we shall succeed,” she added.

For Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, the decision to select her as running mate, has excited many people in the country, saying “this is a decision that has excited many. It’s a decision that we intend to turn to reality and this group has a big role to play and I’m very impressed with what I have seen so far and I will leave this meeting with hope.”
