WAEC Uncovers WASSCE Infractions, Vows to Sanction Offenders

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has detected several malpractices during the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and has pledged to penalize those involved.

These infractions include photocopying and distributing answers to candidates, smuggling foreign materials and mobile phones into exam halls, and teachers aiding in these activities.

WAEC inspectors observed the involvement of supervisors, invigilators, and candidates in these violations.

The Council assured that all offenders would be dealt with according to the regulations governing the exams.
