A truck overturned on the Achimota-Tesano road in Accra on Saturday evening, January 25, causing heavy traffic as vehicles were restricted to a single lane.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported, as the truck driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, emerged unscathed.
Eyewitnesses stated that the driver blamed the accident on another vehicle that abruptly cut into his lane, forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision. The sudden manoeuvre caused him to lose control, leading to the truck overturning.
The other vehicle reportedly fled the scene, leaving its identity and details unknown.
Traffic wardens were later deployed to manage the congestion, guiding motorists through the single lane. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution when navigating the route to prevent further incidents.
