The Police in Yeji, in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region, have arrested three individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of a young woman at Seker, a village near Yeji.
The main suspect, identified as Hayford Boateng, popularly known as GH Kobby, is alleged to have shot his girlfriend, resulting in her death. The victim reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm and was rushed to St. Martin’s Hospital in Yeji, where she later passed away.
Two of Boateng’s friends, who were in the vehicle with him and attempted to flee the scene, were also arrested by the police.
According to initial reports, Boateng claims the shooting was accidental. However, police have launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
All three suspects are currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
