Suspected Newborn Baby Thief Arrested; Infant Rescued and Reunited with Mother

The Ghana Police Service at Dansoman has arrested a woman suspected of stealing a newborn baby from Mamprobi Polyclinic.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after a woman delivered her baby through a Caesarean section at the facility. Under unclear circumstances, the newborn was allegedly taken from the hospital premises.

Fortunately, CCTV cameras at the facility captured footage of the suspect, which aided swift police action and led to her arrest by the Dansoman Police.

The infant was later rescued and safely reunited with the mother at the Dansoman Police Station today.

Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have assured the public that further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
